Model Bazaars is an initiative of Government of the Punjab. which was undertaken in 2011 to provide essential and other daily use commodities on notified rates through hygienic and respectable shopping environment.

Model Bazaars have been established in different districts of Punjab i.e., Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Lodhran, Vehari, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, and Rajanpur.
What kind of facilities are provided in the Model Bazaars?
Model Bazaars provides various facilities to the outlet holders i.e., free electricity, free security, free cleanliness, prayer area, washrooms, free parking, provision of outlets at a nominal rent, provision of rate lists along with a stand, and a conducive business environment. With good family environment, free parking, trolley systems, food courts or cafeterias, play areas, prayer areas, and washrooms are provided in these bazaars.
